CL RECOMMENDS

From the venue:

At this month’s meeting, Dr. Chris Mowry, an associate professor of biology at Berry College and animal ecologist, will give a presentation on the Atlanta Coyote Project and their current collaboration with the Urban Wildlife Information Network, based out of Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo. The project studies the biodiversity in Atlanta while making comparisons to that of other cities. Why study coyotes and other urban wildlife? Research into urban animal communities aims to understand stressors on wildlife populations, species interactions, and sources of human-wildlife conflict in order to encourage positive associations with wildlife, as well as preserve biodiversity.
