This multiweek course, led by Katherine Jentleson, Merrie and Dan Boone Curator of Folk and Self-Taught Art, will explore the High’s Folk and Self-Taught Art collection as well as two major exhibitions, Gatecrashers: The Rise of the Self-Taught Artist in America and Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe. These sessions will take place on site at the High in the galleries and education lecture room, and will include an off-site visit with an artist in the Atlanta area.
