Blind Willie McTell Mosaic Fundraiser

On Sunday, April 10th, the Little 5 Points Center for Arts and Community will host a special event to raise the remaining funds needed to pay for the restoration of the Blind Willie McTell Mosaic. The event will be held at Blind Willie’s nightclub, 828 North Highland Avenue, Atlanta, and feature 2 traditional blues musicians who were heavily influenced by, and continue to carry on the legacy of, Willie McTell - Jontavious Willis and Mudcat. Both guitarists will perform solo, with Mudcat opening the show at 5 PM and Jontavious playing at 6:30.

As for Jason Evers Johnson’s impressive work of public art, the mosaic has been reconstructed and looks fantastic. The Center will be installing additional signage and landscaping in the next month, and it continues to offer project supporters the opportunity to buy personally engraved bricks to be placed in the mosaic’s patio.
