CL RECOMMENDS
CL Critic Hal Horowitz Recommends: Mr. Collective Soul returns for his annual holiday benefit show (proceeds go to the TJ Martell Foundation), and brings along special unnamed guests. Roland scales back the playing to the back rows posturing of his day job for a more minimalist sound more applicable to this intimate stage. The two day event always sells out so get tickets early. — HH

From the venue:

Ed Roland of Collective Soul

Renowned for his passionate vocals, Ed Roland is best known as the frontman and principal songwriter of platinum selling rock band Collective Soul. With eight #1 hits under his belt, the two-time Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductee, Ed Roland with Collective Soul & Friends returns to Eddies Attic for his Annual Winter Wonder Bash on December 12th and 13th! All proceeds will benefit the TJ Martell Foundation and Eternal Strength Youth Center.

The T.J. Martell Foundation is the music industry’s leading foundation that funds innovative medical research focused on finding treatments and cures for cancer. Since the formation in 1975, it has raised more than $280 million in support of medical research grants at leading institutions across the United States. They accelerate the development of new treatments and cures for cancer through targeted funding of high-risk, high-gain cancer research that otherwise might not be funded. For over 45 years, and with the enduring and generous support of friends and supporters from the music, business, and medical communities, it has funded innovative, early-stage cancer research at leading NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers across the United States.

Eternal Strength Youth Center provides customizable monthly care for youth, adolescents and young adults ranging dealing with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, self-harm and suicidality. Their one core purpose and mission are to tune each youth that enters the facility into a beacon of light and positive growth. It provides Radical Youth Work, the three-tier blend of Community, Experiential therapies and Humanistic counseling. Cosmic Lamb is the 501(c)3 non-profit that allows to provide these services to those who otherwise would not be able to afford them.
