To Scaggs’ credit, he sneaks the blues into every set — and his Out of the Blues from 2018 removes him from the slicker music that made him a suave ’70s star to a more subtle, roots style. Mo’ with his charming voice and unruffled soul, remains a consistent crowd pleaser. — HH
