From the venue:
The Calabar Old Boys Association is thrilled to host a series of recitals featuring The National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica at the Atlanta Symphony Hall.
Performances will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 8:00pm and on Sunday, June 25th at 2:00pm.
All proceeds from the performances will benefit the Calabar High School Endowment Fund as well as the Atlanta Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Just People, Inc.
‘The National Dance Theatre of Jamaica celebrates their 60th anniversary this year and our shows in Atlanta will be an homage to our past performances as well as a tribute to Reggae music icon Rita Marley” says Artistic Director and Principal Dancer Marlon D. Simms. ‘We are thrilled to showcase Jamaica’s rich culture and our talented artists while at the same time providing needed donations to Calabar High School – an institution like many that has fallen on hard times post covid. It is our hope that our performances at Atlanta Symphony Hall will provide this great institution with the funding it needs to continue the great work it is doing with our young people!”
