Bob Mould Solo Electric

CRITIC’S PICK: Bob Mould, David Barbe, The EARL —From Husker Du to Sugar, electronic dance music and beyond, Mould is rightfully seen as a legendary figure in the history of punk. For more info, check out his 2011 autobiography. At one point he swore off all guitar music, but changed that with 2020s raw, punked-out Blue Hearts which sounded like a combination of Husker Du and Sugar. In other words, it’s a return to form. How this will translate to a solo electric presentation is unclear, but he’s been doing this a long time, so it’ll likely be a rollicking show. And his far left political views are sure to be featured too, adding extra intensity to this edgiest of musicians. — Hal Horowitz
