David Perdue and Waka Flocka Flame are FaceTime pals

Cagey campaign strategy or just kindred spirits?

Annnd David Perdue and Waka Flocka Flame’s budding and bizarre friendship continues to grow! Just as a handful of Georgia voters headed to the polls on Tuesday, the Atlanta rapper tweeted out his support - which he quickly deleted - for the longtime corporate exec. Perdue squeezed by Savannah Congressman Jack Kingston to win the GOP’s U.S. Senate nominee.

Now it appears that the two are FaceTime pals. Warren Wilson, a campaign supporter for David Perdue’s campaign, tweeted this afternoon a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation in which Waka Flocka Flame congratulated the GOP nominee on his upset win.

@WakaFlockabsm just FaceTimed @Perduesenate from France to congratulate him on his victory! #Perdue2014 #Outsider pic.twitter.com/9AbRZWzDCb

A Perdue campaign spokesman confirmed the FaceTime conversation happened. But he didn’t comment on which, if any, of Waka’s hits would become Perdue’s official campaign anthem.
