This Thursday (Nov. 6), DJ, producer, and foodie, Dillon Vaughan Maurer (aka Lobsterdamus) serves up an all vegetarian menu to pair along with the acts that are taking the stage at Aisle 5. The three-course pop-up dinner will include:

‘J-Endive Salad’ — Endive leaves stuffed with Dillon’s aunt Lynda’s Greek salad (this can be made without feta for the vegans in the house).

‘The Difference Bruschetta’ — cured tomato and olive tapenade on crusty toast point.

‘Cunninlinguine’ with basil, crispy capers and nutritional yeast.

You can try each dish for $6 or all three for $15.

“I’m just trying to diversify my portfolio and display my skill set,” Dillon says. “As much as people don’t care about my raps, they seem to give a damn about my food. So I have to keep tricking people into enjoying it — then I can make them buy my raps. Plus we’re adults now, and rap shows — well they can be boring. I’m just trying to add a little flavor to the mix and it definitely ensures you can enjoy more bourbon when you’ve got a full plate to dine on. FULL PLATE Dillon’s label/imprint with partner, Paten Locke is essentially me trying to hone in on my passions: food and music. Plus foods inspired by rap groups, well nobody’s doing that, so I’m trying to make my mark one way or the other. And food, moreso than rap, can be easier to ... digest!”

Where else can you see the quite possibly last show of the year from the Difference Machine while enjoying some Difference Bruschetta. Save the Cunninlinguine for the main course as CunninLynguists headline the night.

CunninLynguists, J-Live, the Difference Machine, and Lloyd Musa (Thurs., Nov. 6), $10-$12. 9 p.m. Aisle 5, 1123 Euclid Ave NE. aisle5atl.com.
