When people hear the name Reggie Jackson they usually think about a black man that hits home runs, not a white woman that tells jokes. However, if the curvy comedienne continues working the comedy circuit at the pace she has for the last five years, there’s no telling who will own greater claim to the name when all is said and done. Originally from Virginia, Reggie moved to Atlanta in 2005, and very quickly found her knack for making people laugh. Aside from performing stand-up, Jackson is also a member of the interactive sketch comedy group, Call Me Up, and just finished taping a television show about female comics in Atlanta, being pitched and produced by the Wayans sisters.

Been Doing Comedy Since: October 2005

First Gig: Red Lobster. “I was a manager, and we were training new employees at 6 a.m., so to wake everyone up I just grabbed a microphone and started cracking jokes. I figured if I can make people laugh at 6 a.m. when they know they have a 14-hour training day ahead, I can probably make them laugh anytime.”

A lil’ joke: “I know there’s a stigma that white women always try to take black men. Don’t worry - all the black men I mess with, ya’ll didn’t want in the first place.
