Bruce Johnson, Exercise in Restraint: Montgomery Civil Rights Portraits

Bruce Johnson is obsessed with painting arrest photos. Specifically, arrest photos of civil rights advocates from the mid-50’s in Montgomery, AL. Gallery 72 invites guests to view the exhibition filled with what Johnson considers is the ability to discern what is important and act upon it. Several of the photos are from the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

“Guess the Grape” blind red wine tasting

Wine lovers of all experience levels are invited to a blind tasting of five red wines. After tasting all wines, visitors will try to match each wine to a description, followed by the unveiling of the wine labels themselves. Cork dorks, have your taste buds ready.
