From the venue:

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sonic Youth’s 1988 masterpiece Day Dream Nation, filmmaker Lance Bangs screens a collection of short live films, including an excerpt from a restored transfer of Charles Atlas’ documentary film Put Blood in the Music.

Bangs will also present live footage from a Day Dream Nation-era Sonic Youth show at Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club, along with excerpts from his concert film of a 2007 show in Glasgow, where the band played the album in its entirety

Between films, Bangs hosts a conversation with Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley and Creative Loafing’s Music Editor Chad Radford.
