The Manly Hero

They’re all boys, and they’re in a band, but they collectively flinch if you call them a “boy band.” They’re young, cute, and still in high school, but the four members of www.themanlyhero.com" class="wiki wikinew text-danger tips">The Manly Hero are also talented, hard-working musicians and instrumentalists who have studied under and performed with some of the best in the music industry.

After spending a full year writing, recording, and mixing their debut album, The Manly Hero has released three singles in January 2021 and will continue to roll out singles and accompanying videos on alternate Fridays in the months to come. It’s the culmination of what they envisioned in late 2019 to be the “20 songs in 2020” project.

Produced by Dan Hannon, whose production credits include Manchester Orchestra and Paris Jackson, The Manly Hero’s debut work has been described as “a visceral, yet refined, melange of groovy, edgy, stank-facey, rhythm and soul-funkful sound that says, we’re gonna side-step the mainstream, so we can jump out in front of it.’”

The first three singles — “Comin’ After You,” “Gotta Get Back Your Love,” and “U & Me” — have already found success just in the first few weeks, with over 25,000 streams of the first three songs and almost 20,000 YouTube views of the first two videos. The music is available on all platforms, including https://open.spotify.com/artist/59TKVtHelkhDpRqKfRVvuP?si=795zgOX9SICiIm8suJq25w " class="wiki wikinew text-danger tips">Spotify and https://music.apple.com/us/artist/the-manly-hero/1545708913” class=”wiki wikinew text-danger tips”>Apple Music.
