If 2pac lives, why is he wasting his time at a Lil Wayne concert? (More importantly, why is he still sporting that tired ol' bandanna? Answer: It's not him people, let it go.)

A rainy day at the beach pt. 1 (Chad travel's to Destin with Bobby Ubangi for a little fun in the sun ... I mean, rain.)

Jax inherited his creative spirit from his mother and his work ethic from his father, according to his mom, Alecia Thurston. From the interview excerpt below, it's obvious that he got her sense of humor, too.

Chris Jax was very insightful, wise beyond his years. When he was 10, he said, "You know, Mom, I feel like I'm a 20-year-old locked inside a 10-year-old's body."

I said, "Why don't you...

Around 2000, DJ Rasta Roots met Jax at WRFG-FM (89.3) while he was doing an interview for the "Beatz & Lyrics" show. They began recording and eventually Rasta Roots indirectly introduced Jax to A Tribe Called Quest's Phife Dawg, whom Rasta was partnered with through their Smokin' Needlez label. Through their relationship, Jax appeared on 2004's NBA Ballers video game with a song called "We Can... | more...

CL talked to Jax's wife, Lisa Thurston, by phone on Nov. 22. It was the day they'd planned to hold their wedding ceremony in Atlanta, though the couple had actually gotten married on paper about a month before, on Oct. 17. From the New York home of Jax's parents, Lisa talked about the first time she met Jax in 2004 and what their first date was like.

We met at a show in '04. Binkis, Mars Ill...

Before Señor Kaos became a hip-hop marketer/promoter in Atlanta, he was Jax's protégé. They met nearly a decade ago when Jax used to work at the Fat Beats record store.

I used to hang out at Fat Beats. I used to go down there after school. Sometimes I'd skip school, go down there on weekends, whatever. I would just hang out and listen to records. I was broke. I never bought anything. I would...

Before DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz mixtape series made him a hip-hop celeb, he entered the game via the underground as Binkis Recs' first DJ. Drama met Jax while attending Clark Atlanta University in the mid-1990s.

The first time I met Jax, it was like my freshman year of college at Clark, in, I think it was 1996. Jax had already been down here for a year and I was on campus. I had some ski...

The biggest thing that drew me to Jax, more than anybody in Atlanta, is his genuineness. In Atlanta, there's a lot of plasticness going on with a lot of people. People I know who came up and forgot where they came from, but Jax was a guy who was not afraid to say, "Hey man, I work at UPS... ."

It's ironic that the music industry is collapsing. It's getting back to people talking about real...
