Just in time for the chilly weather, one of Atlanta’s most celebrated ramen freaks, chef Mihoko Obunai, is getting back in the pop-up game. Obunai’s new Ramen Freak pop-up will take over the Sound Table on Monday nights starting Nov. 3. Ramen’s on at 5 p.m. and will be served until they run out.
Obunai, who recently left Southbound, has another adventure under her chef coat so make sure you grab a bowl while you still can. Starting in February 2015, Obunai and collaborator Stephanie Jolluck will begin offering culinary tours of Guatemala through their new joint venture, Cultiva Tours.
Obunai has helmed ramen pop-ups all over the United States, often with Sun Noodle chief Shigetoshi Nakamura. Fans flocked to Obunai’s Mibo Ramen pop-up at So Ba in EAV last fall and winter.
