Irreverent Kansas City garage-punks Wet Ones are among the bands passing through Atlanta en route to Orlando for Total Punk’s Total Fuck Off II Fest. The five-piece features ex-members of KC punk luminaries Fag Cop and All Blood, just to name a few. Past bands’ raw sounds and uncouth lyrics remain intact on the band’s self-titled full-length (Slovenly/Black Gladiator). It’s one of the best punk releases of the half-year, carried by the unhinged lo-fi sound of aptly titled songs “I Live Life Reckless” and “Get Lost.” The band’s sound is a smack-in-the-face reminder that garage-punk can be dangerous and fun.
