But we’ll hand it to ‘em - they at least have good taste in the stuff they overplay. Their hip-hop is heavy on hooks and the R&B is light on histrionic mush, and they’re at least as essential to launching locals nationally as rock station 99X. Late at night, the mix shows bring the party straight to your car. And in the morning, Ryan Cameron’s morning show manages to entertain without being obnoxious (though we do miss Bill Campbell as co-host).
