Combichrist performs ‘Everybody Hates You’ era set

Tonight, Andy LaPlegua and keyboardist Z. Marr return to Combichrist’s hardwired roots with a totally electronic performance dedicated to the band’s early years.

With its aggro-industrial beats, attitudinal lyrics, and grandiose performances, Combichrist has become a pounding hit with EBM fans around the world. But it was the 2003 album Everybody Hates You, and such crowd-pleasing singles as “This Shit Will Fuck You Up,” “Enjoy the Abuse,” and “Happy Fucking Birthday,” that set this Norwegian-born, Atlanta-based band apart from other electronic acts. Ten years later, frontman Andy LaPlegua and keyboardist Z. Marr return to Combichrist’s hardwired roots with a totally electronic performance dedicated to the band’s early years. Local industrial act Finite Aotomata opens.
