Aisha Burns, best known as the violinist in the minimalist instrumental group Balmorhea, is playing a show at the folk-centered Book Club House on Friday, Nov. 15.

Burns recently made her solo debut with Life in the Midwater (Western Vinyl), which features her ghostly vocals and light string accompaniments.

Also at Friday's show, Athens-based songstress Madeline Adams, Wes Ables (of Rrest), and Book Club's Robbie Horlick & Rachel Buckley will perform acoustic sets at the Westside house.

$5. 8 p.m. The Book Club. 972 W. Highland Dr. NW.
