Clocks by The Difference Machine
On June 2, the Difference Machine rolled out the new Clocks EP (Psych Army Intergalactic) just in time for a two-week East Coast, mid-Atlantic, and Midwestern tour with Homeboy Sandman. Only two songs are streaming for free so far: "Vibration (intro)" and "Clocks." The rest of the EP will be streaming soon (possibly tomorrow).
In the meantime, these are the first two numbers on the EP's tracklist. Each one is brand new and driven by the stylistically trippy patchwork of samples, slow rhythms, and dense atmospheres that came together on last year's debut LP, The Psychedelic Sounds of the Difference Machine - a little less cluttered this go around, but no less hallucinatory. "Clocks" is an especially strong number. One of the group's finest offerings so far. Conspiracy produced the whole thing, DT wrote the rhymes, and Yamin Semali handles the cuts on "Vibration (Intro)."
