Travis Porter: 'Bring It Back'

Looks like Jive Records is putting some decent promo $$$ behind Atlanta signees Travis Porter. The trio's latest video, "Bring It Back," which drops today, features scenes shot in Castleberry Hill.

And as the title suggests, they are bringing it back, indeed. Their latest mixtape, Music, Money and Magnums — yeah, those Magnums — has garnered over 10,000 positive reviews on LiveMixtapes.com, making it the site's highest ranked mixtape ever. Don't act like you didn't know: It's no coincidence that Travis Porter's absolutely rabid teen fanbase happens to be right around the age that would make most of their parents huge fans of Atlanta's first generation club king, Kilo. Speaking of whom, his post-prison concert at Center Stage Theater last week, with MC Shy D, Raheem the Dream and DJ Jelly, was so packed it looked like a playback of Freaknik ’93, complete with Kilo's dance six-member dance team yeekin' it out onstage. People tend to forget that Atlanta rap was once defined by booty bass and shake dancers, or, as Big Boi once said: "home of the pimps and the moneymakers/Club Nikki, Magic City and the southern players."

Love ’em or hate ’em, Travis Porter is firmly rooted in that same Southern tradition, and yeah, they're about to "Bring it Back."
