Celeb talk: Comedian and Atlanta native David Cross was hanging out June 1 at El Myr in Little Five Points. Cross, who currently portrays Tobias Fünke on Fox’s sleeper hit “Arrested Development,” had just checked out the band Spoon at Variety Playhouse next door. ... Also seen throwing back a few brews at El Myr was Spoon frontman Britt Daniel. Dirt spotted Daniel chatting with an unidentified blonde. After leaving his patio table and watching a local magician pull a few tricks out of his hat, Daniel politely excused himself and appeared to leave alone.

Hotel Talk: Atlanta is hopping on the boutique hotel bandwagon that has swept the nation’s major cities. The Glenn Hotel, located in the 80-year-old Glenn Building on the corner of Marietta and Spring streets, will be designed by the Johnson Studio along with Blackdog Studio. The anticipated price tag for the overhaul: $20 million. Each sleek room in the 110-room hotel will feature plasma televisions and CD players with MP3 capabilities. It’s also rumored that there will be a three-level restaurant and lounge with a rooftop bar. The Glenn has its sights on a December opening.

crunk talk: Philadelphia Eagle and Atlanta-area resident Terrell Owens had Compound packed June 3 for his annual charity weekend. Owens partied with former teammate Freddie Mitchell, Portland Trailblazer Ruben Patterson, video vixen Melyssa Ford (aka Jessica Rabbit), and comedian Alex Thomas. ... The following night, OutKast’s Big Boi and former Goodie Mob member Cee-Lo were getting down at the Four Corner Click party at the Mark.
