The Televangelist: 'Big Love' Season 4, Episode 7

You know what this season of "Big Love" has lacked? A Mexican hostage crisis!

You know what this season of "Big Love" has lacked? A Mexican hostage crisis!  Luckily we got a Mexican interlude with the King of Crazy, Sincerely Yours Hollis Green.  What if the US Legal system took a leaf from the book of Hollis?  Think of how trials would be expedited with the law "all briefs and memorandas must be submitted within the hour.  Then execution."  How do you deal with contempt of court? Execution!  And for the crime of intent to murder?  We need a little Lois wisdom for that one - just chop their arm off with a machete, any ole machete you might find laying around.  Why not? It's Mexico!

Bill continued to repent and question the way he's living his life, and for all of my griping about him this season, I didn't want to see him executed by the now-lopped limb of Hollis Green.  Every "Big Love" season has some crazy interlude with the Greens and guns, which typically comes to very little, so while I knew Ben, Bill and Lois would safe, I thought maybe they'd at least get rid of Frank (I was pleased to see that even after Frank's "deathbed confessions" to Lois, her first reaction when they flee is "leave him behind!").  I also thought Joey might finally get some revenge on Hollis for what happened with Cathy, but I suppose smothering and burning the man who was truly responsible is just about enough.
