Dance Truck won't be crashing through the sparkling new glass front doors of Atlanta's Museum of Design in a 10-ton semi (it's a new building, give it time), but they will be bringing a free evening of some of Atlanta's best dance and performance art to the plaza out front this Thursday.

The organization Dance Truck is the dreamchild of founder Malina Rodriguez who wanted more venues in Atlanta for presenting dance and thought up the idea of an inexpensive, accessible, mobile venue: the back of a truck. Since its founding a couple years ago, Dance Truck has become a huge hit, a moveable feast of local dancers and choreographers presenting their work at various arts events, festivals and venues around town, using the back of a truck as a performance platform.
