This weekend, MINT Gallery will open Exquisite, a group exhibition curated by Mike Germon with contributions by Romy Maloon, Nikita Gale, Baxter Crane, Bean Summer, Aubrey Longley-Cook, Ashley Anderson, and Dorothy Stucki. Each of the artists were asked to contribute body parts for figurative arrangements in for the show.

As Germon explains it, though, Exquisite is more of a collaborative collage than a typical group show: "The original idea behind Exquisite was to play on the exquisite corpse method of the surrealists and have some of my favorite local artists contribute to collaborative figures. As the process took shape, it became more and more about me using these elements to create my own compositions. I think that it's an interesting way to pull of a collaborative show, and one where I get to have a lot of fun creating new pieces from the art, much like I do in my own collage work."

The reception for Exquisite gets started on Friday, May 13 at 8 pm. Get more details from MINT and preview a few images from the show after the jump.
