- Naticakes is coming to Atlanta
Brendan Keenan has left his post as chef de cuisine at Sound Table. Replacing him is Joey Zelinka, who has worked in a number of Atlanta kitchens including Rathbuns. We got a glimpse at the brand new menu, which is way more succinct than previous Sound Table menus with 19 items, mainly small plates. A sample dish: Roasted peach salad with pineapple, arugula, pickles shallots, evoo sic, and fine herbs.
Sugar Coated Radical will open in their new location on September 1. Chocolate lovers don’t have to look far, it’s just a few minutes from the current shop. Find them at 108 Howell Street in Old Fourth Ward.
In other chocolate news, Cacao’s new Virginia Highland boutique opens tomorrow.
Naticakes Sweet Shop, a yogurt shop and bakery with an inspirational origin, is opening a location on Lavista in the former Java Blues. Ten percent of the company’s profits go to fund a non-profit for children, so you can feel great about chowing down on cupcakes like Boston Cream Pie, Pumpkin Spice and Cotton Candy. This is Naticakes’ first Georgia location.
