The soon-to-be-displaced Victory Sandwich Bar in Inman Park will close after business hours on Thurs., July 4, but not for good. The popular eat-and-drinkery is planning to reopen in the space currently occupied by Park’s Edge a few blocks away.

Earlier this year, Atlanta-based developers South City Partners and JPX Works LLC bought out the Elizabeth Street block to make way for a mixed-use development, ultimately forcing neighborhood mainstays like Victory and neighboring Dad’s Garage Theatre to relocate.

The unexpected closure of Victory’s original location comes just five months after opening a second location in downtown Decatur in February.

Victory will hold one last hurrah on Thurs., July 4, with its Bon Voyage Fourth of July Jam. The spirited send-off will feature hot dogs, booze, and fireworks along with house favorites like Jack ‘n’ Coke slushies and Fancy Nuts. Festivities begin at 7 p.m.
