The Cook’s Warehouse - Midtown Sat.-Sun., June 27-28, 1-4 p.m. Cake Decorating Like a Pro Do you know anyone who’s expecting? In this two-class series, you’ll learn how to decorate a baby shower animal cake like a pro. On day one, you’ll work on figurines and bake a yellow butter cake. On day two, you’ll finish up your animals, cover the cake with icing and fondant, and create a landscape atop the cake. And you’ll get to take your cake home. Details.

Meehan’s Atlantic Station Sat., June 27, 2 p.m. 10th Annual Canada Day Fest Canada’s finest craft brewery, Unibroue, will be hosting a Canada Day party at Meehan’s Public House Atlantic Station! There will be street hockey for the kids and an art show and sale from local Canadian artists. The live music will feature various artists including Sloan, Atticus Roness, Rocket Rodeo, Dean James and Late Night with Kevin Kos. Details.

Cypress Street Pint & Plate Sat., June 27, 2-6 p.m. Whynatte Bake Off: “Baking with Boozie” Some of Atlanta’s favorite haunts will go head-to-head creating dishes that prominently feature Whynatte, a locally produced and distributed all natural, ready-to-drink coffee. Experienced and amateur contestants alike will compete for the titles of “Best Restaurant,” “Best Amateur,” and “Best Overall,” with cash prizes awarded at the end of the competition. As an added bonus, guests can enjoy Whynatte drink specials, including a specialty Whynatte beer cocktail. Details.

Oakhurst Garden of the Wylde Center Sat., June 27, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Beer Garden Silent Auction and Fundraiser The Wylde Center is hosting its annual Beer Garden Fundraiser featuring Atlanta’s local breweries and food from local restaurants. Ale Yeah!, Blue Tarp Brewing, Orpheus, and Red Hare are among the breweries providing drinks. Eats will be provided by Farm Burger, Calle Latina, Revolution Doughnuts, and more. The Dammages and The Benders will play live music throughout the evening. There will also be a silent auction benefitting the Wylde Center’s goal of creating green spaces and promoting environmental stewardship. This event is 21+. Details.

Wild Heaven Craft Beers Sat., June 27, 7-10 p.m. Emergency Chicken Pickin’ Wild Heaven, Springer Mountain Chicken, Emergency Brinking Beer, and Pine Street Market are teaming up for a fundraiser benefitting The Giving Kitchen. $20 gets you a reservation and a special Chicken Pickin’ tasting glass. Eclectic Bistro & Bar is hosting a charity brunch for Lost-n-Found Youth, an Atlanta-based non-profit that aims to transition homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth into more permanent housing. Ten percent of all brunch sales will go to Lost-n-Found. Details.
