Von Grey

Eddie’s Attic - 515 N. McDonough St., Suite B Decatur, GA 30030 $10-$15. 7:30 p.m.

With cinematic orchestration, vivid lyrics and three-part vocal harmonies, it comes as no surprise that sisters Annika, Fiona and Kathryn von Grey hail from a classically trained background. However, the pop trio takes this multi-instrumental approach a step further by incorporating folk and electronic elements, through the use of mandolin, banjo and brooding synth. Von Grey has teased the follow-up to the group’s haunting 2015 EP, Panophobia, with two singles. “6 AM” discusses the thin line between love and hate with remorseless pop hooks, while “Poison in the Water” offers a folk-rock hybrid through hammering violin and biblical imagery.
