Chrome Yellow Trading Company has tapped Eat Me Speak Me chef Jarrett Stieber for new soups, salads, and pressed sandwiches. Offerings — such as butternut soup with chive and cayenne oil, pork shoulder panini with coffee mayo, and head lettuce salad with herb dressing and ranch — will be seasonal and dishes will be composed onsite.

Clermont Lounge has closed for six weeks as the Clermont Hotel is transformed into the boutique Hotel Clermont. The dive bar is scheduled to re-open "February 15th-ish."

Tropical Smoothie, a “fast-casual, health-conscious café,” is the final retail tenant at the University House student housing tower located near Georgia Tech. The award-winning smoothie franchise, which has stores in 42 states, has plans to expand rapidly in Atlanta, reports What Now Atlanta.

Concentrics Restaurants group has announced Matt Weinstein as the sole executive chef at ONE Midtown Kitchen. Weinstein, formerly of Woodfire Grill, has served as co-executive at ONE since July 2015 and will also assume the helm of Golden Brown & Delicious, Concentrics’ upcoming restaurant at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

April Hill, the owner of the forthcoming Happy Tabby Cat Café, has filed plans to lease space at 527 Irwin St. N.E., according to What Now Atlanta.

Florida-based 4 Rivers Smokehouse will open its first Georgia restaurant in the former fire station No. 16 (822 Marietta St.) in Westside this spring. The 4 Rivers menu will include an 18-hour smoked Angus brisket, pulled pork, Brontosaurus beef rib and desserts such as fried Oreos and banana pudding.

Third & Urban (Armour Yards) and Trillium Management are developing a new project along the Beltline’s Eastside trail. The unnamed site will feature a Latin-inspired eatery and market and along with a brewery by Stone Brewing’s former brewmaster, Mitch Steele.
