Richards’ Southern Fried in Krog Street Market has gone gluten-free by switching from their all-purpose flour breading to a secret gluten-free recipe made in-house. Chef Todd Richards said he and his team worked on the recipe for over six weeks to perfect it.
Buckhead’s Smokebelly (128 E. Andrews Drive) is now serving Sunday brunch. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. guests can enjoy $4 mimosas along with dishes like sweet potato pancakes layered with sweet potato soufflé.
Joystick Gamebar (427 Edgewood Ave. S.E.) starts a new food provider on Mon., March 13. As part of their incubation program, S3:Simply, Savory & Spiced will serve Asian inspired pub food. Some of the highlights from chef Rajan Mistry’s menu include naan pizza, masala fries, and nachos with tandoori chicken. A new spring cocktail menu launches as well.
A new option for Asian street food opened this week in Chamblee (5000 Buford Highway). Food Terminal, from the owners of Sweet Hut, serves Malaysian items (lots of noodle dishes) for lunch and dinner.
Nine Mile Station, the rooftop beer garden on top of Ponce City Market, has begun brunch service. Offered Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. and led by executive chef Jonathan McDowell, the menu includes banana stuffed French toast with Grand Marnier syrup with a 9 Mile Bloody Mary with house-smoked bloody mix.
Star Provisions and Bacchanalia announced the opening date for their new digs just a short distance away at 1460 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd. Both businesses will stay open at the Westside Provisions District through the end of the month and host a grand opening on Sat., April 1.
A second location of Rize Artisan Pizza and Salads opened on Monday at the corner of Roswell Road and Hammond Drive in Sandy Springs. Founder/CEO John Smith describes Rize’s food as “pizza with soul.” The new location joins a Poncey-Highland location and serves lunch and dinner.
