Roswell’s The Whiskey Project, boasting hundreds of different types of whiskies (like more than 1,000), a modern food menu, gorgeous décor, and a pretty incredible rum selection opens on Oak Street this Friday.


Long awaited restaurant Tiny Lou’s is now open in the renovated Hotel Clermont. Executive Chef Jeb Aldrich’s serves everything from a double stack Clermont burger to duck consommé from his French American brasserie like menu while a dreamy pastry cart roams the dining room. Take in the beauty of our city from the astroturf lined rooftop.


A pop-up within a pop-up.  The Plate Sale’s Mike and Shyretha Sheats are cooking at Gato (1660 McClendon Ave.) while the Talat Market crew takes a working vacation in Southeast Asia. Dig in Fri.-Sun. from 6-10 p.m. through July 1.


Cheers to 10 years at Virginia Highlands’ Diesel Filling Station (870 N. Highland Ave.). Celebrate with them on Sat., June 16 all day with drink specials, DJs, $10 pitchers, and pop-up kitchen Heady Pies. Bartenders from the last 10 years will rotate shifts throughout the day and donate their tips to the Giving Kitchen.


It must be noted that Atlanta is reeling from the sudden closure of Decatur’s Cakes & Ale. The place was stormed with love for Billy Allin and crew last weekend.


Cider is on trend. Get your learn on about all things cider at Cooks and Soldier’s Drunk Cider School. On Thurs., June 28 Nicolas Quinones and Urban Tree Cidery’s Jackie Waice will walk (and sip) guests through the history of and process of making cider. Sample six ciders with light bites for $39.
Bread whisperer Sarah Dodge is back with Bread is Good, this time at Westside’s Mashburn (1198 Howell Mill Road.) on Fri., June 15 and Sat., June 16. Cinnamon rolls will be ready at 8 a.m.

By the time you read this Japanese restaurant Momonoki and its sister coffee shop Momo Café will probably be open. The team from Brush Sushi Izakaya has already thrilled eaters with pastry chef Ching Yao-Wang’s black sesame and matcha soft serve ice creams, and they are ready to serve chef Jason Liang’s ramen, rice bowls, and Japanese small plates.

Iron Age Steak House plans another Korean BBQ spot on Buford Highway, this time in Cumming. This location will replace Silk Road Asian Kitchen on at 872 Buford Highway. Iron Age also has locations in Duluth and Kennesaw.
The Kinjo Brothers (MF Sushi, Anh’s Kitchen) are opening a Vietnamese stall in Krog Street Market. Pho Nam will replace Nature’s Garden Express.


Need a last minute Father’s Day idea? Buckhead’s Chido + Padre’s (128 E. Andrews Dr.) is hosting Lucha Libre brunch Sun., June 17 in honor of dad. The patio will be set up with a whole pig roast and tequila flights from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. or “til it’s destroyed and gone.” Wrestling attire encouraged (not really).


On Thursday evenings at dusk Town Brookhaven turns into Movies on the Town. HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern has specials to go with the free screening.
