2 Chainz headlines MLS all-star concert
Hometown rapper plays a free show in Historic Fourth Ward Park
Major League Soccer has announced that Atlanta-based hip-hop artist 2 Chainz will headline the free MLS All-Star Concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 29 at the Historic Fourth Ward Park.

“I am thrilled to be headlining the MLS All-Star Weekend Concert in my hometown,” 2 Chainz says in a press release. “Thank you to the League and Target for having me, and I can’t wait to see all the fans in Fourth Ward Park.”
2 Chainz’s one-of-a-kind style, musical tonality, and persona have set him up as a culturally influential musician, challenging norms in the worlds of fashion, food, politics, and philanthropy. His most recent album, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music (Def Jam), features other industry heavy-hitters, including but not limited to Drake, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Monica, Trey Songz, Ty Dolla Sign, Pharrell, and Jhene Aiko.
The Los Angeles-based pop-electronica trio Cheat Codes, best known for the single “No Promises,” ft. Demi Lovato, opens up the show. The The song catapulted the group into the public’s consciousness, peaking at #5 on POP Radio and garnering over 600 million cumulative streams.
Songwriter, music producer, and artistic director Fonzworth Bentley will be the event’s emcee. Bentley was crowned the First Gentleman of Hip-Hop by GQ Magazine, and has musically directed a number of tracks for 2 Chainz.
