ART IN THE ATL: Piedmont Park Arts Festival provides colorful fun for everyone.

Brave the August heat for the 9th annual Piedmont Park Arts Festival at Atlanta’s largest park, full of vibrant work from more than 250 of the city’s artists. Celebrate neighborhood painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalworkers, glass blowers, jewelers, and crafters at one of Sunshine Artist Magazine’s top 100 art festivals in the nation. BONUS: There’s an opportunity to break a Guinness World Record here. Guests are invited to be take part in the festival’s second attempt at breaking the Longest Chain of People to Pass a Hula Hoop world record. And trust us, adding that to your resume is a ticket straight to the top. Besides diverse art and world fame, the festival offers acoustic music performances from local musicians, and moms and dads can enjoy gourmet local food trucks (and an adult beverage or two) while the kids enjoy a children’s area with fun arts & crafts.
