From the venue:
HomeGrown Restaurant Concepts’ Doc Chey’s Noodle House is bringing the North Pole down south for the 14th annual Breakfast With Santa benefiting local fire stations. On Saturday, December 10, Santa Claus will spread Christmas cheer at Doc Chey’s in Grant Park, with seating times at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. During his visit, friends and families will enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast and have the chance to deliver their Christmas wish list to the big man personally. The event kicks off with Santa’s grand entrance atop a fire truck alongside neighborhood firemen. After breakfast, children can sit on Santa’s lap for a special photo. A staff member will take complimentary digital photos, but parents are also encouraged to bring their own cameras. In addition to meeting Mr. Claus, children will mingle with local heroes from area fire stations and enjoy the holiday cheer. Tickets are per person for all ages and include breakfast and the Santa meet-and-greet. 100 percent of ticket sales will be donated to historic Virginia Highland Fire Station 19 on North Highland Avenue and Grant Park Fire Station 10 on Boulevard. The money raised will be used to repair and renovate stations for the comfort of our local firemen. Since its inception in 2003, Breakfast with Santa has raised more than $86,000 for area fire stations, and HomeGrown Restaurants Concepts owner Rich Chey was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Service Award at the 2011 GRACE Awards for the contributions.
