Following a screening of A Band Called Death, filmmakers Jeff Howlett, Mark Christopher Covino, and Monica Hampton will discuss the band’s legacy. The film tells the story of how the Hackney brothers crafted a loud-fast rock ‘n’ roll sound that was more aggressive than Detroit’s defining Motown sound of the early ’70s.
