From the venue:
The Wylde Center has built a legacy on connecting its local community to the environment and good health practices through tutorials, classes, and events focused on sustainability. This month, the Center hosts a class on gardening in the cooler months in partnership with the Homestead ATL. Guests can learn techniques for cultivating at home, like germinating seeds during winter’s freeze and thaw cycle. Stephanie Van Prys, the Wylde Center’s executive director, will share how to create a mini-garden using native and non-native perennial herb seeds planted in colorless, translucent recyclables, such as milk jugs, water bottles or even that to-go cup rolling around the backseat. Soil and tools are provided. Bring plenty of containers.
