From the venue:
Poetry and more, featuring:
Morani Bonner -- A creator and performer of dramatic spoken word poetry, Morani's art draws from his personal experiences as an advocate for social justice, as a teacher of both gifted and special-needs students, as a survivor of health challenges and homlessness, as a military veteran, as a volunteer supporting victims of domestic violence, and as a loving parent.
Carol Welter — Carol grew up in London where she trained in classical theatre at the Shakespearean Conservatory. She founded "Wine, Cheese & The Spoken Word" at UUCA in April, 2016. For three nights in March, the Theatre will present an original play — "About Clarence" — written, produced and directed by Carol. A preview of "Clarence" will be part of her presentation on Nov. 25, as well as a sampling of her lighthearted rhymes and her more poignant poetic prose.
Doors open at 6:45 pm, pre-show begins at 7 and readings are from 7:30-9:30 with an Open Mic in the middle. Wine, so
