For the second year in a row AFROTOPIA NYE plans to put a tailored spin on the typical new year’s festivities. With an eclectic mix of sounds provided by Atlanta staples DJ Kemit and Salah Ananse, the vibe will forego predictable bottle popping and tired VIP sections for an afrofuturistic aesthetic at Studio No. 7 Bar + Lounge. Other features include an ankara-themed photobooth, headwrapping by Atallah Shabazz Pamoja, and a Kizomba dance demonstration by Mwangi Maina.
