The Dictators NYC, The Swingin’ Dicks, Bad Spell

Tuesday May 24, 2016 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: $12-$15

From the venue:

Dubbing the band Dictators NYC gives frontman “Handsome” Dick Manitoba, guitarist Ross “the Boss” Friedman, and drummer J.P. “Thunderbolt” Patterson license to carry on the classic punk band’s legacy, despite the absence of other longtime members. As always, fast and loud rock ’n’ roll sets the pace for Manitoba’s flashy look and stage presence. His shtick is built around the pro wrestling heels he watched decades ago at Madison Square Garden — namely “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant. Fun gimmicks are an added bonus for a set featuring such classic punk cuts as “Faster and Louder” and the bravado-fueled “Next Big Thing.”
