Rough Language is a quarterly poetry competition co-founded by Queen Sheba and DJ M that brings 15 poets from around the country to battle it out for $500 in cash. The night starts off with an introduction to the show, followed by a musical guest, then 3 rounds of poetry. The live music starts at 9:15 p.m. and the slam at 10 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and $35 to register as a poet. Cash only day of entry at the door.
