Caren Stansell, known for enchanting sculptures and mind-bending printed pieces, brings a new show to the Paper Plane Gallery. The Clemson MFA candidate opens Home is Where the Heart Is, a haunting exhibit that explores our relationships with and how we view our homes. Stansell has watched her concept of home change over the course of her life, growing from child to adult to mother. Audiences will now follow her journey of breakdowns and rebuilds through the exhibit, haunted by incorporated images of homes in disrepair — as seen above in the not-quite-right ceiling fan piece “Circulation #1.”
