From the venue:

“Goals for Girls: A story of women with balls” presents the world of women’s football in Villa 31, a shantytown in Argentina. Focusing on family prejudice, media representations of women, life in shanty towns, and the importance of sport as a human right, the film follows the journey of these girls and coach Monica Santino to the Homeless World Cup in Brazil. These players have to fight on and off the field to ensure that the words of the president of FIFA come true: “the future of football belongs to women”. Directors Ginger Gentile and Gabriel Balanovsky.
