For the last decade, Portland singer/songwriter Justin Ringle has slowly morphed Horse Feathers from a one-man recording project into a fully fledged folk outfit. With its latest effort, Cynic’s New Year, the group has continued down that path with increasingly heartfelt lyrics and orchestral arrangements. The Portland quintet — which currently includes violinist and mandolinist Nathan Crockett, drummer and pianist Dustin Dybvig, cellist Lauren Vidal, and violinist Angie Kuzma — will showcase its pensive and serene compositions at Eddie’s Attic on Thurs., April 10.
