Co-curated by Kimberly Cleveland (associate professor of Art History) and Cynthia Farnell (gallery director), these two exhibitions explore material. An opening reception will be held Thurs., Sept. 4, from 5-8 p.m. in the gallery lobby. Nnenna Okore will lecture Thurs., Sept. 4, 4-5 p.m. in the large gallery. A panel discussion about African Textiles: The Nexus of Material, Method and Meaning will be held Fri., Sept. 12, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the small gallery.
