Oglethorpe University Theatre presents Urinetown: The Musical. Winner of three Tony Awards, Urinetown is a musical satire of capitalism, politics, social revolution, and musical theatre itself. In a not-to-distant future, a devastating drought has ravaged the world’s water supply. Private toilets have become outlawed. Bladder-bloated citizens must now “pay to pee†using the public amenities owned by the evil corporation U.G.C., or Urine Good Company. Can a few proletariat heroes overthrow the forces of corruption governing their lives and bodily needs?
