Poet-hero, E.T.A. Hoffmann, regales his drunken fraternity brothers with three stories of his greatest romances.tales that depict the struggle between human love and an artist’s dedication to his work. Though Hoffmann cannot keep any of these women happy, he does gain poetic inspiration-the ability to transform pain and loss into art. Featuring participants in the 2013 Harrower Summer Opera Workshop, with Copeland Woodruff, stage director, and Brian Osborne, music director.
