British power pop and pub rock legend Wreckless Eric, who is perhaps best known for his 1977 Stiff Records single “Whole Wide World,” will perform in the intimate confines of the New Street Studio music store, Fri. Nov. 1, when his first solo art show, “Paintings by an Antique English Pop Musician,” debuts at the nearby Upstairs and to the Left Gallery, inside the Brick Store Pub. The exhibit is curated by Shawn Vinson, and will remain open through the month of November. Patrons can expect acrylic on wood paintings inspired by pop culture in the gallery, and a rare solo set filled with bitter observations from the stage.
