SUMMER WRITING CAMP | MYSTERY IN THE CITY: DYSTOPIA: A CITY IN CRISIS
From the venue:
AGES 9-14 YEARS
Using Atlanta landmarks as a guide to explore dystopian themes, let your imagination soar as you examine challenges facing impacted communities. Journey around the city and craft a storyline that asks “How would Atlanta look and feel in a dystopian future?”, “What resources would be available to residents?”, and “How would one survive in a city transformed?”
Margaret Mitchell House writing camps provide an opportunity for youth to discover the power and excitement of writing while honing their skills in a fun, interactive environment. With 10-15 participants per camp, each young author receives individual attention while learning how to create meaningful prose through a variety of techniques like stream–of-consciousness writing, games, journaling, free verse poetry, and other forms.
- Registration ends the Thursday prior to the camp start date. We do not perform Day-of-Camp registrations.*
-
- Campers must be within the age range for each camp at the time of the camp, without exception.**
