Summer Solstice on the Square

Join Colony Square’s second annual “Summer Solstice on the Square” on Friday, June 18, to celebrate the beginning of a new season. The community is invited to enjoy the sunrise and honor the light and our connection to the Sun and Earth. The event will take place under the mural of Aurora, known as goddess of the dawn, a mural created by four local women artists. During check-in at 5:45 a.m., guests will be given a complimentary rose quartz healing stone and seed paper to set intentions during the practice. At 6 a.m., guests will be led through a self-healing sun salutation and meditation practice by Shelley Carroll of Dancing Dogs Yoga. Guests are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and a personal item of significance to place at the foot of the mural.
